I thrive in exploring new territories and crossing boundaries.
I enjoy working on different things, merging various materials
and skills to create something fresh and interesting.

Since my early childhood I have been active in the art world.
As a child and teenager, I won numerous prizes in various children's
drawing competitions, at both national and international level.

In 1994, I graduated from Institute of Technology Bandung,
with a major in Fine Arts (Ceramics). I then held a solo exhibition,
'Krisis', in Bandung and later in Jakarta in 1995,
and participated in joint exhibitions in subsequent years.
During these years, I divided my time between ceramics,
graphic design and jewelry.

In 1999, my drive to explore brought me to Shanghai and then Hong Kong
to work as a toy designer. However, I finally yearned to break free from
the convention and limitation of the corporate world
and now:

There's this constant urge to create,
to set free this anxious restlessness in search for my true calling

It feels like my real life has been put on hold,
it is actually happening elsewhere
Not in the matters of actual space
nor geographical location

But
somewhere nearby, yet untouchable,
indefineable. Yet...
